OSI respects the selfless gifts of donors and their families that make its work possible, and actively protects the use of the gifts for its work. We handle these donor gifts with great care and adhere to strict medical protocols in the transport of these gifts. We have met strict licensing standards and adhere stringently to the highest medical standards and ethics at all times with regard to donor gifts and donor families.
OSI is not an eye bank, but welcomes the opportunity, should it become available, to become part of existing eye bank associations. We work openly with eye banks to acquire tissue and make every possible attempt to provide quality service to surgeons and their staffs. OSI does not discriminate in its working relationships toward any group or professional community - our goal is to utilize our expertise to safely and expeditiously contribute to quality patient care without limitation. We do not limit access to donor tissue or other scarce medical services for competitive purposes.
